Been a while since I’ve taken to this site.  In addition to life getting in the way, I grew somewhat disillusioned with the cadence of everything in alphabetical order.  Trying to fit in all the things I wanted to listen to but also making time to repeated listens of every Ben Folds release in sequence got tiring (sorry, Ben).  So I took a step back, focused on the things I wanted to listen to, and just basically enjoyed music. It’s family vacation time, so no updates for a bout a week. Gonna catch up on books, sun, beach, and whatever music I feel like listening to. I took a little more time away than I thought I was going to.  I was laid off at my job, wound up getting hired back at a promotion (I’m still trying to figure that one out), got sick for about a month, turned 46, and found out the issues I have with my liver and diabetes are getting worse, not better.  Lotta shit to take in, and the things that I would use for comfort – books, films, and music – weren’t helping at all, just more things I couldn’t focus on.
